As soon as the new collections hit the store, I’m like a child in a candy store; I get overly excited and want to buy EVERYTHING! But, as we’re still in the midst of Slow Fashion Season, I decided to check which trends I already have in my closet (and you do probably too).
What to give a special spot in your closet this winter:
My personal favorite of last season; the checkered blazer! Combine an oversized blazer (unbuttoned or with a belt) with a black skinny and some western boots, and you’re good to go. Or, if you’re a real fashionista, combine them with biker shorts and boots!

Animal prints are here to stay, with the leopard print as the big winner. Not only for coats and dresses, but also for shoes and bags.

Another favorite of mine. Leather is versatile and can be combined with pretty much everything. This season, a black leather jacket is not the only option. We can choose from a wide array of colors and items. Try a cognac-colored jumpsuit or brown leather skirt and steal the show!
I love pantsuits! Combine with heels if you’re headed into the office, or with sneakers for a more laidback look. For this season, your pantsuit is chic, but sloppy. They come in all shapes and colors, so there’s a pantsuit for everyone! My personal favorite (which I haven’t found yet, so if you have tips, comment below 😉) is an old pink, sloppy suit with cute white sneakers!
Another favorite! Currently, I’m a fan of utility pants, or cargo pants. Again, they come in different colors. For a chic look, combine them with a blazer and heels. For a sporty look, style them with big sneakers (Fila Disruptors, for example) or boots and a crop top. Utility jumpsuits and jackets are also still a big hit this season.
Nothing beats a cozy coat in winter times! The fake fur trend is still a thing, but quality is of the essence this season. The ideal coat looks like real fur (but obviously isn’t!).
This season, we’ll see corduroy skirts and jackets, mostly in matching sets. Combine with high boots and a turtleneck!
Last season, they started to make a comeback: western boots. The city western look is here to stay and it’s looking fabulous! Last season, we saw mostly ankle boots, whereas this season, knee-high boots are added to the mix as well.
