Finally, some good news! As of April 28th, the curfew will end,
and terraces will open up again! They are opening only from 12-18pm and
reservations are mandatory, but it’s better than nothing.
With temperatures slowly rising,
the reopening comes just in time for spring!
Since it’s been a while we were allowed to go out for drinks,
it’s entirely possible you have forgotten about all the hotspots in town.
That’s why Borrow A Brand came up with this handy guide to
the best hotspots in our lovely capital. Cheers!
One of Amsterdam’s most legendary terraces!
Located on the edge of the center near the west side of the city,
the restaurant has Surinam vibes as it’s inspired by Paramaribo.
Definitely try out the food
and the Surinam beers while you’re here!
Lion Noir not only has a gorgeous decor inside, their courtyard is a hidden treasure in the Reguliersdwarsstraat.
Enjoy some peace and quiet while admiring the view of the canal houses!
City beach Strandzuid can’t be missing from this list!
The beach sand and lounging chairs are
definitely a plus for this place-to-be,
but don’t skip their restaurant with a view of the water!
Another beauty that deserves a place on this list is Vondelpark3,
located, surprisingly, at the Vondelpark entrance. This venue doesn’t need explaining!
Just wow! Located on the top of the W Hotel, Mr. Porter has one of the
best views of the city! Combine this with an amazing rooftop terrace with
a pool and food to die for, and you have just found your next place to be!
This hotspot has a spectacular view of ‘t IJ, combined with a large terrace
that gets a lot of sun. The food is fresh and the drinks are cold, and that’s
pretty much all we need this spring!
Located in East, you’ll find city beach Roest. Your summer isn’t complete
without a visit to this well-known venue!
Another iconic hotspot, another city beach: PLLEK!
PLLEK will have to close its doors permanently in 2022,
so make sure to pay a visit (or two) before its gone!
A cozy, sunny courtyard, fresh Indonasian food, and amazing cocktails,
that’s what Mama Makan in East has to offer you.
Pretty sure I’ll be spending a lot of time here!
